Day 1: Arrive Arusha, Transfer Arusha Coffee Lodge
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a member of our team who will transfer you by road to Arusha Coffee Lodge . Arusha is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. Visit the extraordinary social enterprise Shanga that employs disabled people from the community to create export quality recycled glass products Go on the exciting and informative ‘Coffee Tour’, weaving in and out of the evergreen coffee trees, the coffee guide explains how the bean is nurtured, harvested, dried and finally roasted to produce a myriad of different blends that sate the taste of the most ardent of coffee connoisseurs Stay: Arusha Coffee Lodge.

The aptly named Arusha Coffee Lodge lies hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Guests can unwind in one of the lodge’s exclusive Plantation Suites, which each boast a romantic four-poster bed draped in Egyptian cotton linen, a split-level sitting area, ensuite bathroom, an open fireplace, a personal bar and a private veranda that looks out onto rows and rows of berry-laden coffee bushes.

Comprising of 30 Plantation Houses that radiate out into the evergreen coffee fields, Arusha Coffee Lodge has been designed around the original landowner’s home that dates back to the early 1900’s. Days 2 - 4: Lake Manyara
You will be met by your guide for your 2-3 hour drive in your 4 x 4 safari vehicle to Lake Manyara National Park. Once checked in at the gate, you will continue on a leisurely game drive to the lodge On route stop in at some of the local villages, especially Mto Wa Mbu, to get an understanding for the agricultural practises and various tribes that have settled here. Days 5 - 6: Ngorongoro Crater
