Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, the Zambezi Crescent Collection’s pioneer lodge is so close to the famous Victoria Falls that one can see the spray in the distance. Nestled upstream from the iconic Victoria Falls, amidst lush indigenous bush on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty Zambezi River, Victoria Falls River Lodge awaits. Established in 2012 as the first private game lodge within Zambezi National Park, this pioneering retreat sits gracefully on the banks of the untamed Zambezi River.
Set in stunning surrounds, under starry skies, relish delicious dishes with mouth-watering combinations of flavours unique to Southern Africa. Taste loval favourites such as sadza (an African starch accompanying meals) and baobab fruit or maas (a dairy product similar to yoghurt). For the more adventurous enjoy ostrich steak, Mopani worms or Kapenta (local sardines). Carefully positioned for ideal views of the river, the main lodge is remarkable, while the Toa Spa (Africology) creates divine couples treatments, whilst enjoying a truly authentic African offering. Explore the beautiful natural setting on a selection of game drives, and walking safari options. Leisurely river cruises, guided tours of the falls and various canoe safari opportunities offer game viewing from a different perspective and much fun for the love birds.
Days 2 - 3: Victoria Falls
Tour the waterfall, jump into adventure activities or embark to catch sight of some of Africa’s most spectacular birdlife. Be sure to enjoy a sunset river cruise to soak up the beauty of the falls. Some of the great activities you can engage in include:
River Cruises:
An ethereal voyage on one of the Victoria Falls River Lodge luxury river cruisers is arguably one of the best ways to soak in the spectacular Zambezi River and the landscape it supports. Watch as the world awakens and the sun’s rays first skip across the surface of the Zambezi. It’s a truly mesmerising way to start your day.
Canopy Tours:
A unique way to explore your surroundings, spend the day ziplining through there treetops. With 9 zip-lines, the shortest being 49 metres. A professional guide will accompany you to the starting point and deliver a safety brief before sending you on your way.
The Flying Fox:
A signature zip line – the flying fox – offers guests a truly breathtaking experience. It is recommended you take a running start to get up to speed.
Days 4 - 6: Chobe National Park
Following breakfast, you will be taken by our representative to Kasane International Airport. After clearing customs, another member of the team will take you and fellow guests to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero. Drink in the sights and sounds of Botswana in this diverse natural environment and feel the rumble of the huge elephant population. You won’t want to return from safari in this beautiful expanse, but the comforts of your sumptuous accommodation will make retiring to the camp a luxury in itself.
Weave amongst huge herds of elephants and capture incredible photographs of bathing hippos, grazing impalas and sleeping lions. The lodge’s professional guides will be able to teach you about the many creatures that call Chobe National Park their home as you spot a variety of game and predators carrying out their daily routines. A range of exciting experiences await you: perhaps you will catch sight of wild dogs, or witness a predator hunting.
Drift along the still waters of the great Chobe River in one of Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero’s comfortable riverboats on a sundowner cruise. Enjoy a refreshing beverage while the African sunset turns the water golden and red, and watch herds of buffalo emerge from the shade for their evening graze. The riverboat is an amazing spot to capture photographs of elephants as they wade into the river or sable and antelopes as they run through swamps to escape the prowling lions.

A maze of meandering water channels, papyrus-fringed banks and floating islands teeming with wildlife: known as the river that never finds the sea, Botswana’s Okavango Delta is the jewel of the Kalahari. In the heart of the Delta, on the edge of a waterway, you’ll find Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. Situated on a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession, Sandibe has exclusive traversing rights over a vast 22,500 hectares (55,600 acres) of wildlife land bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.
The inspired organic design of the lodge melts into the surrounding forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees. Trees will shade you as you approach the lodge; an intriguing curl and sweep of shingled wood comes into view, resembling a giant scaled pangolin at rest. Stairs open onto the high ceilings of the copper-toned and glassless guest area overlooking the Delta. From this central dining area, the wooden deck stretches beyond the roof, while the upstairs bar and lounge extend along an elevated walkway to a viewing platform.
A series of decks descend to the forest floor culminating in a log boma, with a small gym and private massage sala close by. Interior finishes throughout showcase the craftsmanship of Botswana’s artisans, and feature intricate basketware, sculpted wooden tables and unique feature pieces. While the main guest area is set within the forest, the twelve guest suites peep out from beneath its canopy. Raised above the papyrus-lined banks like golden weaver nests, each is a cocoon of privacy, with breathtaking views, a private plunge pool and cosy fireplace.
