Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Transfer Ololo Safari Lodge
Upon arrival you will be picked up by your safari guide and transferred to Ololo Safari Lodge - A boutique Safari Lodge on the edge of Nairobi National Park, Kenya. Ololo Safari Lodge, owned and run by an Australian farming family, offers the warmth and comfort of a home with effortless style and personalized service. Originally an old Kenyan homestead and since converted to a small lodge, Ololo is perfectly situated, on the beautiful banks of the Mbagathi River which forms the southern border of the Nairobi National Park. Ololo Safari Lodge, owned and run by an Australian farming family, offers the warmth and comfort of a home with effortless style and personalized service. Originally an old Kenyan homestead and since converted to a small lodge, Ololo is perfectly situated, on the beautiful banks of the Mbagathi River which forms the southern border of the Nairobi National Park.
The lodge is a mere 45-minute drive through the park from Nairobi and both main airports, yet the lodge's secluded location feels like a world away. Set on a productive 20 acre working farm Ololo offers the joys of delicious ‘paddock to plate’ fresh ingredients. With our established and secluded gardens, guests are able to settle in and soak up a unique safari experience.
Ololo’s rooms are unique and diverse, each tastefully appointed with attention to historical detail. The accommodation at Ololo ranges from the farm's old converted stables, tented cottages under makuti thatch and to the original suites in the main house of the lodge.
Days 2 - 4: Chyulu Hills
After breakfast you will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Chyulu Hills. Upon arrival you will be picked and transferred to Ol Donyo Lodge. Ol Donyo Lodge is set within the 111 288 hectares (275 000 acres) of the Mbirikini Group Ranch (private land leased from the Maasai) bordering the Chyulu Hills National Park. Tucked into the greenery of the Chyulu Hills, between the national parks of Tsavo East and Amboseli, this secluded getaway guarantees breathtaking views all presided over by the singular outline of Mt Kilimanjaro. Days 5 - 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Take a flight to the Masai Mara where you will be met and transferred to the &Beyond Bateleur Camp. Celebrating the romance of a bygone era, &Beyond Bateleur Camp offers guests the quintessential experience of an African safari within the exclusivity of a private Masai Mara concession area. In addition to the seasonal Great Migration throngs of plains game and attentive predators, the Masai Mara is also home to year-round concentrations of game.
The Maasai mara Game Reserve is a photographer’s and naturalist’s paradise, with abundant elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside wildebeest and zebra. Leopards are frequently encountered, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets, and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are to be found in the Mara River. Set amongst the forest at the foot of the scenic Oloololo escarpment (the rim of the Great Rift Valley) in Kenya’s iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, is the classic and elegant Bateleur Camp.
Comprised of just two intimate camps of nine tented suites each and a family tent; each elegant tent, with its own private butler and housekeeper reflects the ambiance and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old. Day 8: Depart, Fly Nairobi
After an early breakfast, you’ll you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your maiden air transfer to Nairobi. You will arrive in time for a late lunch and thereafter transfer to the airport for your return flight home. Here, we will wave a fond farewell to you and your family as your once-in-a-lifetime Kenyan safari comes to an end.
