The 7 Nights Savannah Trails begins in Mombasa and flies you to the wilderness parks of Tsavo East and Tsavo West. The Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks forms the biggest protected area for wildlife with amazing wildlife encounters. You will also fly to Masai Mara - Kenya's crown jewel for a probable encounter with the big five and the great wildebeest migration depending on the season of your visit.

Day 1: Depart Mombasa, Fly Tsavo East
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport. With the luxurious Cessna, you fly into Tsavo East National Park. Here you are picked up by your guide in an all-terrain vehicle and drive to Satao Camp. After lunch, you experience your first game drive. Stay: Satao Camp.

Satao Camp offers its guests the classical ‘Out of Africa’ experience. Spacious tented accommodation is complemented by first-class cuisine and genuine hospitality. The camp boasts 20 authentic safari style en-suite tents, each with private verandahs, nestled among the tamarind trees surrounding the camp’s very own watering hole. The tents are carefully positioned to allow uninterrupted views of the visiting wildlife whilst ensuring total privacy.
There are 16 tents and 4 suites. The tents interiors are simply exquisite. All are attractively furnished to a unique African design. The suites are larger and positioned closest to the water hole. Satao Camp tents are suitably designed & adapted to cater for guests with disabilities.
Days 2 - 3: Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast you fly into Tsavo West National Park. Lunch awaits you at Severin Safari Camp. Afterwards, you have time to relax at the KENBALI SPA. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the camp pool or relax during one of the massages. Inspired by the African wilderness and centuries-old Southeast Asian techniques of wellbeing, the Spa is an oasis of peace and relaxation. In the afternoon, you go on an excursion to the popular Mzima Springs, a little oasis of palm trees and acacias. Stay: Severin Safari Camp - Your home for the next 2 nights.
YOur day will begin with an early morning game drive along the springs of the Tsavo River – the lifeline for hippos and crocodiles. On your return to the camp breakfast waits. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to the highlight of the day. At Poacher’s Lookout, you will enjoy the beautiful sunset while having a glass of sparkling wine and canapés. From here, you have a beautiful view over the bush land of El Turesh. On the way back to the camp you experience the African savannah at night – a memorable adventure.

Deep within the vastness of Tsavo, Severin Safari Camp is constructed in an elegant natural style. Light and warm colors make for a cozy, familiar atmosphere with an unmistakably African feel to it. Each of the 27 tents and suites offer sweeping views over the striking landscape and the nearby waterhole which is frequented day and night by all manner of resident game.
Experience Tsavo on twice-daily game drives in search of the wild inhabitants of this immense wildlife area. Back at camp indulge at the beautiful Kenbali Spa with soothing massages or professional treatments. When the day draws to a close gather around the roaring bonfire with an ice-cold Gin Tonic, followed by a sumptuous dinner.
All 21 octagonal tents with robust Canvas cloth are equipped with running hot and cold water, shower, separate toilet and bidet, comfortable beds with mosquito nets and private terrace with camping chairs.We will be also glad to welcome guests with walking disability. In this case we will reserve centrally located tents which can be provided with a ramp. The tents are equipped very handicapped friendly.We will advice you on the detailled measurements and possibilities and will also be glad to recommend safari operators who are attuned to guests with walking disabilities.
Days 4 - 5: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at Severin Safari Camp, you fly into Amboseli National Park. On the way from the airstrip to Satao Elerai Camp you can admire the beautiful scenery and the animals. The Satao Elerai Camp is located on a hill and it offers a wonderful view on Amboseli Park and Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch at camp, you visit a typical Masai village and get an insight into the life of this traditional tribe.
Enjoy great morning game drives in Amboseli National Park. Afternoons can be spent enjoying wonderful panoramic view from your camp as you enjoy your inhouse drinks or a dip in the swimming pools. Satao Elerai Camp is located in a quiet, unspoilt, unique setting on a 5000 acre private conservation area 12 kms south east of Amboseli National Park at the foot of Africa’s Largest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. The camp looks down onto the Amboseli National Park in one direction and up to Mt Kilimanjaro in the other direction, giving clients what is arguably the best location of any camp in Amboseli.
The camp currently has 12 luxury en suite mountain facing tents and 5 large luxurious lodge style suites. Both the tents and the suites are en suite with the suites also having luxurious baths. The facilities are supplied with hot running water provided by eco friendly solar units.
The Satao Elerai project is a community project that has been along time in the making. The project has been a concerted effort between the Satao Elerai, The African Wildlife Foundation and The Elerai community. The concept is to provide a sustainable income from tourism for the Masai community in the area and to try and ensure that it is in the communities interest to protect the wildlife for generations to come. Amboseli has been a location where human-wildlife conflict has been an issue for many years, and it is projects like these that can over time ensure that communities start to benefit from wildlife and to ensure they invest in protecting and securing their future for their own benefit.
One of the biggest advantages of Satao Elerai Camp is that being located on its own private conservation area clients have the chance to view wildlife in private surroundings. In addition we also offer clients the chance to enjoy spectacular bush sundowners, night game drives and game walks on the conservancy, activities that are not available to the lodges located within the park.
The rooms at Satao Elerai Camp were built and designed to ensure that your stay will be in complete luxury. Huge beds with top quality mattresses and pillows and a large luxurious duvet ensure that you will sleep through the night in total comfort. Large sliding doors open out onto your own private verandah overlooking the plains below and Amboseli National Park. Each room has its own bathroom with a view, designed using natural rock and acacia wood the bathrooms have a design and feel unique to Elerai.
Dinners at Satao Elerai Camp are served a la carte. Using locally grown vegetables and fruit our chefs prepare a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes. On a clear night tables are set out on the terrace where clients can enjoy a meal under the stars. Regularly the Mountain will be clear early evening and can be seen lit up by the moon from your dinner table. Days 6 - 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, you fly to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. After arrival, your personal safari guide will welcome you. You enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will experience the unique African landscape and the breathtaking animal kingdom during your game drive. Set on the bank of the Mara River the camp consists of 22 luxurious tents. The Maasai Mara experience is an exhilarating one! During the day, you go on a game drive through Masai Mara. The game reserve is best known for its wildebeest and zebra migration, which tends to pass through the area July to October, but many areas offer excellent game viewing year round. Breakfast and lunch at camp. We offer you the option to go on a balloon safari (for a surcharge) and to enjoy the bird’s eye view of Kenya.

Karen Blixen Camp is an eco-friendly luxury camp that gives a sense of the exiting explorer days when the savannah was seldom visited and elaborate and comfortable camps were set up providing a luxurious and stylish retreat after each day’s adventure.
Karen Blixen Camp comprises large luxury canvas tents, each placed with privacy and undisturbed view along the Mara River. The stylish restaurant, the reception, the lounge and bar and the gift shop with internet are set on a raised wooden deck and furnished with accurate reproductions of Karen Blixen’s private furniture to fit in with the cozy atmosphere.
Day 8: Depart, Fly Mombasa
Bush breakfast at Masai Mara. The morning is for own activities. You will have lunch at camp. In the afternoon you fly back to Mombasa on schedule flight and your driver will then return you back to your beach hotel.
